520H Aeroturbine

The 520H Aeroturbine is essentially two 510V turbines joined horizontally by a shared alternator. The approximate weight of the 520H is 850 lbs. which includes the alternator. The 520H can be bolted or ballasted down horizontally and, like the 510V, is stackable end-to-end.  While the 510V works well in multi-directional winds, the 520H requires a dominant wind direction; for maximum efficiency, the rotational axis of the 520H must be oriented perpendicular to a location’s dominant wind direction.

All Aeroturbines are designed and custom-built to fit the architecture of the building. Exact costs will depend on project location, number of turbines purchased, and the required mounting method.  The 520H Aeroturbine has an estimated cost of $20,000.  This price includes the 2 rotors, cages, all the custom mounting structures, and electronic equipment.  The cost of Aeroturbines will decrease when manufacturing is in place.

In order to operate efficiently, Aeroturbines must be above or away from surrounding trees and other obstructions, and in an area with average wind speed of at least 10 mph.

We are currently developing and testing our final prototype of the 520H Aeroturbine.  Once perfected, which may be as soon as mid 2009, Aeroturbines will be available for limited multifamily residential buildings, institutional buildings and commercial buildings in the Chicago area, and in limited situations everywhere else.

We currently do not have an extensive dealer network in place. You would need a dealer in your area to take delivery of the Aeroturbine, install it and possibly maintain it properly. We currently have dealers located in Chicago, Illinois; upstate New York; Paterson, New Jersey; and San Francisco, California. Only projects 100 miles of these dealerships will be considered at this time.
